The Old Mill is a historic Saugatuck landmark and due to its uniqueness and beauty, may be the most photographed site in the city. Although the mill looks as it has for over a hundred years, it was recently enlarged and completely remodeled. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and an adjoining bath and laundry room. There is a queen sized, sofa-bed in the living room and a half-bath. The full kitchen, dining area and adjoining deck, with grill, makes this a home away from home. It has wonderful views of the mill pond, the spillway that powers the wheel, and a lovely creek that joins the Kalamazoo River. It is the perfect get-a-way, where you can experience the romance of a running stream and pond (with its own family of ducks) and yet be within a short, two block walk to all of Saugatuck's fine shops and restaurants. If you are nice, they may invite you onto their 38 ft power boat, docked next to the B & B. While you are enjoying your stay at a SummerFun Cottage or Marywood Manor B & B consider renting a motor scooter to make getting around Saugatuck/Douglas more fun and economical. Scooters are 50cc models and only require a valid driver's license. Helmets and training are provided free. Being a guest entitles you to a special rate that others can't enjoy.
